A Seat for Servia?

With the last race of the season upon us, Silly Season is still in full swing as we anticipate where our favorite Spaniard might land for the 2014 IndyCar season.  If the stars align, it sounds like Vasser is very interested in pairing with him again.

"Now we can concentrate on that second car, go after sponsorship for it and I'd really like to go after [Oriol] Servia.  He was really good when he raced with Seb [Bourdais] in Champ Car and I think having the two of them together at KVSH would be pretty amazing."

However, all this may hinge first on where Simona de Silvestro lands for next year.  Stay tuned and tune in this weekend for the IndyCar season finale!

Fairest of the Fair?

Wonder what Oriol has been up to between races with Panther Racing?  Wonder no more!  Robin Miller fills us in on all the gooey details.  And I must admit I cringed at the comment on Daly stealing Servia's ride...read on and you'll see what I mean.

Cammo Commander

Following much speculation, Oriol Servia has [finally] been named the replacement driver for the #4 Panther National Guard car for this weekend's Firestone 550 hosted at Texas Motor Speedway.  Read it here.  The article mentions that Servia will also pilot the car later this month at Iowa, but there's no mention of the Milwaukee IndyFest at the venerable Mile the weekend in between, despite all three being oval circuits and Servia's great track record at the Wisconsin venue.

Perhaps a podium finish this weekend would add to Servia's workload the rest of the season?  Be sure to tune in Saturday night (if you can't attend in person) and cheer him on!

Dearly Departing?

Anyone else have a pit in their stomach following DRR's announcement?  When can a good guy just get a break for once?

Associated Press writer Jenna Fryer recently gave a great shout out to Oriol Servia and the Dreyer Reinbold Racing crew following the IndyCar season opener last weekend at St. Petersburg.  Check it out here!
